In cast and biaxially oriented film production (BOPP/BOPET), producers demand exceptional optical clarity and mechanical integrity across the entire web. Even small unfiltered contaminants can create gels, fish‑eyes, and pinholes, leading to web breaks during stretching, unstable bubble or tenter behavior, and rejected rolls at converting or end‑use stages.
FLUX large‑area candle polymer filters are developed for these high‑sensitivity film applications, where melt cleanliness directly defines surface quality and barrier performance. Installed upstream of the cast film die or BOPP/BOPET extrusion system, the FLUX filter removes fine gels and solid particles before they can reach the die lips. This protects expensive dies, stabilizes bubble or sheet formation, and delivers a smoother, more consistent surface finish with fewer optical defects.
Compared with conventional screen changers, the FLUX large‑area concept provides a much wider effective filtration surface, enabling 5–20 µm absolute filtration with minimal pressure fluctuation. That allows film lines running BOPET, BOPP, LDPE/LLDPE, EVOH, and multilayer barrier structures to combine fine filtration with high throughput and stable stretching windows.
